This past weekend we had a three day weekend for President's Day. We started out in Frankfurt so that we could get our German Rail passes so we could ride the fast trains. Then Saturday we left for our trip to Berlin! We got lost finding our hostile, but that's part of the fun! Then we went and found a place to eat some dinner and we went to the Jewish Museum. It was alright, but after seeing Dachau, the biggest part of the history I like to learn about is about the Holocaust. It was all still interesting to see. After that, we went back to our hostile and played some cards and just hung out. Sunday morning, we decided to the do the free walking tour. Well a tipping tour, but technically it was free! It was amazing! We got to see and learn a lot about the history in Berlin. After that, we went to the Ritter Chocolate factory and looked around. I bought some chocolate, of course!! Then we found a delicious Italian restaurant where I had some tortellini and gluhwein (hot wine! I absolutely love it!!). We then caught our subway back to our hostile and hung out and played cards again. It was a lot of fun! Then Monday morning, I woke up with a stomach ache (after having a head and chest cold all weekend), so Melissa and I decided to catch the early train back while the other two stayed and walked around.
Here are some pictures from our weekend!!

The French church, the Opera house, and the German church.
The German church made to look just like the French church. I believe the wall separated the two so the Germans built a church to somewhat mirror the image of the French church.
