Update.

Hello everyone.
I know I'm slacking on updating things on here. I was going to update this last night, but as most of you know, my granddad passed away last night. I wanted to take this time to remember the things about him. He was such a wonderful man and I am beyond bless to be able to call myself his granddaughter. He always had a smile on and never seemed to complain. The life he had with my grandmother and the love they share, is truly and inspiration to me. I wish I would of had more time to spend with him, but in the 22 years I was blessed to know him, he made a major impact on my life. What a wonderful man. Words cannot even come close to describing how much I will miss him, but he will live on in my heart forever. "Bless you baby" will be the words I remember the most. If you haven't heard the story, it's really a great one! I sure do love that man and my family.
Here are some of the wonderful pictures that I have to remember him by.

Salzburg, Austria!

Hey everyone! This weekend we went to Salzburg, Austria! It was absolutely breathtaking! Our train left at about 6 Saturday morning and we got there around noon. We checked into our hostile and then decided to do a map tour of Salzburg. We walked into a lot of neat little shops. I bought a shot glass (which I buy everywhere I go) and a beautiful glass blown ring! We then walked up to the fort (I don't know how people did it when they didn't have paved roads.. That hike is no joke!) and did a tour. The fort was like a little city! It was amazing to see and to look at the displays they had of how the fort progressed over the years. It's amazing at what could be done with the lack of technology they had when the fort was built. The top of the fort gave us an amazing view of the city! The mountains were gorgeous and we were there on a fabulous day! All three of us didn't have to wear jackets! We were thrilled by this. We then walked around some more and found the beer house and I had schnitzel to go and we ate by the river. It was amazing. We then went back and hunt out at our hostile and played cards. The next morning, we went and found Mozart's house and walked around some more so that we could see some of the things we had missed. We found a very dangerous playground that was fun to play on! We then went to our train for our ride back home. On one of the trains, there was family with about an 8-10 year old girl. This is where the culture shock came into play for me. Her "papa" sent her to the bar to buy him a beer.. And they let her!!! I was so surprised to see this little girl come back with a beer! It was great to see because they didn't think of it as being a big deal. It's how this culture is!
Here are some pictures from my weekend. More are on facebook of course!

The bathroom sign in our hostile! Love it!
Gorgeous river that basically goes through the middle of Salzburg!
The Cathedral.
View of Salzburg from one of the cannons.
The view from the top of the fort!
LOVE!
Nothing like schnitzel by the river on a beautiful evening!
Mozart's house.
Absolutely breathtaking!
Love this one!
I hope everyone enjoys the pictures!
Off to a new adventure next weekend. Possibly going to Amsterdam!! :)

Hamburg, Germany

Hey everyone!
Sorry it's been awhile since I last updated. The weekend before last we just stayed at the apartment to catch up on sleep and relax. We went out Saturday night and had a decent time. It was great to relax and I felt very refreshed after relaxing all weekend.
This past weekend we went to Hamburg, Germany for one of the girls' birthdays. It was a lot of fun! Where we stayed, was pretty much the center of the red light district. We were kind of nervous when we first got there but it was great to people watch and the area was very well patrolled. I sadly did no think to take any pictures of the cultural area, but I think that my friends may have taken some of what the area looked like (all very clean of course)! We went to Beatlemania the first day we were there. It was great to see and I wish I would have been around during that time. I didn't realize they got their big start in Hamburg. There was a lot around about them and it was great to see. That night we went to dinner and I had some delicious pesto pasta. The next day we went to what they call the fish market. It's basically a market with a bunch of different vendors. They have it once or twice a month and it was amazing to see. We got there a little late so a lot of the vendors were closing but it was still a lot of fun. I bought two scarfs and enjoyed the scenery. We then caught a train back to our apartment! It was a great weekend!
Work is a little hectic right now. We are trying to implement a few behavior modifications and they aren't going so well. It's very stressful but I think that things will work out. Working with kids has a lot of ups and downs, but I usually enjoy it a lot!
I hope everyone is doing well! This weekend we are going to Salzburg, Austria! I am very excited to get out of Germany and see what else Europe has to offer!!
Here's some pictures from my weekend in Hamburg!
