Update

So here's a small update.
We went to Trier this past Saturday and had a great time! Walked around and saw the Roman Ruins there. They were beautiful and so was the area. I will definitely put pictures up sometime SOON! I'm at the library computer so I am unable to do that at the moment. Then one Sunday we all just hung out at the apartment and caught up on some much needed rest!
Then the work week started and got a little crazy! Had a huge dissagreement with a parent that has been taken too far (in my opinion). I just have to understand that they live a stressful life and do my best to work things out. I've taken the right steps and only time will tell what will happen. Don't worry, I'm not in trouble or anything, just worried and a little stressed myself! But things will be okay and everything will work out. I'm just sure of it!
Went to the grocery store for the first time yesterday and it was interesting. They don't smell as clean as ours and it's not only a grocery store. It's kind of like a super walmart. They have clothes and everything you could imagine. It was difficult trying to figure out what to get so I just stayed with the basics and got some fruit, bread, pb&j, and a few frozen items. Maybe I'll look around more when I don't feel quite as rushed!
We are making plans for this weekend and I'm not quite sure what I plan on doing. I'm thinking about going with the group going to Heidleberg and Cologne but we shall see! I can't wait for the weekend to have a little break! I hope everyone is doing well!!

Hey!

Hey all!
So far so good. I'm out at Miesau (pronounce me-sow) and it is a lot of fun so far. The people there are awesome and very welcoming and excited for us to help them! I have mainly been working with the infants, which means a lot of diaper changes!! I absolutely love it there. It's so much fun and I am so glad to be here and with the people.
We are not able to spend the night anywhere this weekend so we are planning on going to Trier to explore. From what I have heard, it is pretty awesome and is the oldest city in Germany. I'm excited to get off base and actually feel like I am in Germany and not home!
We had to go get our visa pictures taken today so we all decided to get some lunch. I ate on ONE EURO!! It was awesome! I got some kind of biscuit that had cheese and ham and some kind of dessert type thing that had acorns on it. Sounds weird and gross but it was delicious! It tasted like the forest but awesome!
I hope everyone is doing well! I'll post pictures of where I live and everything soon!

GERMANY!!!

A short little update! We made it here at around 7 am our time (so midnight central) after a not so bad flight! Although, after we landed out pilot let us know that he had to rely on the autopilot to land our airplane because the fog was too thick for him to see and he saw the runway a whole five seconds before we landed! YAY!! haha.. We live in kind of an apartment on Landstuhl Army Base. I fortunately have my own room and only two girls have to share (the luck of the draw). We unpacked and have just been hanging out all day. Everyone seems wonderful and I am excited to get to know everyone better! That's all for now!! I will update again soon!


Ps.. We are "sharing" someones internet but the only place we really get reception is out on our porch! Which is a tid bit chilly.. But at least we have internet!!!Oh and this building apparently has and adopted stray cat! I guess it likes to hang out in our apartment. Fine by me!!

Departure!

Well everyone, I begin my journey tomorrow morning at 9:30! I am quite excited and nervous. My Mia was picked up by my roommates so I know she is in good hands while I am gone! Sad but I know she will be okay. Wish me luck and safe travels. I hope to be able to post on here often and have an awesome experience! See everyone when I get back!
